AUTOMOTIVE

DuraLase is use to mark virtually any metal, plastic, or glass part assembled into a car or truck. We mark VIN tags, labels, bearings, backlit buttons, cast components, stamped parts, engine components, transmission parts, glass, mirrors, headlamps, and just about anything else in a car or truck. DuraLase can be configured for bench top use or integrated into an assembly line or operation.

DuraLase meets all AIAG 2D Data Matrix standards as well as all global marking and traceability standards.

AEROSPACE & DEFENSE

Aerospace & defense are two related areas ideal for the DuraLase laser marking product line. The varied applications ranging from jet engine components to tool marking in a depot to data plates for UID compliance and their unique requirements are all met by the DuraLase line of laser marking equipment. UID marking for part identification and traceability for tags, tools, metal and plastic components, and other items falling under the guideline is a standard capability employed on all DuraLase laser marking systems.

The design flexibility of DuraLase allows for bench top, inline, and mobile marking as well as options like automatic tag feeding and automatic label feeding – in short, the flexible, robust, and easy to use system military, defense, and aerospace customers require.

Recent ATF specifications require firearm components to be marked to a certain depth for item level traceability. DuraLase delivers exceptional results for steel, titanium, anodized, composite and aluminum gun components including receivers, barrels, stocks, sites, and accessories.

PACKAGING AND FOOD

DuraLase can mark a wide variety of food items directly including eggs, fruit, some vegetables, bread products, and meat. DuraLase laser marking also delivers inline laser marking for the packaging of food items and can be used for item and package part identification and traceability.

 

MEDICAL

DuraLase produces medical grade and quality marks on titanium, stainless steel, alloys, and other materials used to produce medical instruments and components. The application of marks for medical uses requires strict adherence to FDA guidelines which we understand and meet with the DuraLase line of laser equipment. We know how to produce surface marks that will survive passivation and autoclaving.

TOOLS

One of the most popular applications for the DuraLase laser marking equipment is tool marking. Steel (all grades), stainless, carbide anodized coated materials, chrome, and just about anything used to make a tool can be marked. Surface marks to deep engraving (0.05” and deeper) allow for the permanent marking of tools including hammers, drill bits, carbide bits, collets, clamps, files, and CNC tools.

SOLAR PANEL PRODUCTION

DuraLase successfully scribes and patterns solar panels. DuraLase also creates edge isolation, hole drilling, and soft marking back sides of panels for traceability. This flexible tool gives solar panel manufacturers the tool they need for the most advanced and technically challenging solar panel construction.

PC boards, connectors, batteries, wires, switches, tubes, conduit, switch plates, relays, flex circuitry, integrated circuits – small and large parts made from plastic, ceramic, metal, and composites are all marked using the DuraLase without damage to the electrical component.

 

PACKAGING LINES AND PRODUCTS

On the fly marking of date code and lot codes is a perfect use the DuraLase laser marking system. We can handle high volume production and deliver a consistent non-contact mark using zero consumable technology. Integration into automated production lines is one of our specialties. Boxes, plastic bottles, thin film packaging, and labels are all good candidates for laser marking using a DuraLase laser marking system.
